Reports of the Total Solar Eclipse 2002
On December 4th, 2002, a total solar eclipse was visible from parts of
the Southern Hemisphere. The eclipse began in the South Atlantic at
sunrise, passed over the African continent from Angola, through Zambia,
Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, and South Africa to Mozambique, continued
across the Indian Ocean south of Madagascar, ending at sunset in
Australia.
This page provides links to reports and photos documenting the eclipse.
Most of the links have been obtained by scanning the
Solar Eclipse Mailing List
of December 2002 and January 2003. The reports are ordered by country,
west to east in the order they were visited by the shadow.
